Ever searched through pintrest and seen those super cute labels for the food table or fun banners but didn’t know where to begin with making them? Well you are in luck today!
Fun labels for the food table add a little decoration and don’t need to be fancy! A few weeks ago I was searching for a gift tag to print out and came across the Avery.com website. On this site you can choose the size of your label and creat almost anything you want!
I took a template they already had, changed the picture, and wrote each food item we had! I printed these out and put them on cute yellow cardstock tents! Super easy and fun for the guests too! These would also be great if you have a lot of guests who have food allergies! Put a little astrik with egg free or gluten free to let the guest know!
On another note, I also made these on the Avery website too! They were so easy and my students and teachers loved them! I found a template already on the website, changed the words and printed them on cardstock!
There are so many different types of banners it can be overwhelming. My personal favorite ones to make are pendant or square banners.
I free handed this banner. I made strips of paper the height I wanted the pendant to be. Then I took a straight edge to make a triangle. Once I got the triangle size I liked, I used it as a template to make the rest of the pendants!
Once I had all the peices cut, I used my sewing machine and clear thread and sewed them together. I find this was so much easier compared to creating holes and trying to string the peices together! I leave about 6-8 inches of strong on each side for hanging!
There are so many hair products out there it’s insane. I always love trying new things but don’t like spending a lot in case I don’t like the product.
First this dry shampoo. I got it at Walmart just to try and I LOVE it. Dey shampoo is the newest craze with hair and I just had to see what it was all about. I wash my hair almost everyday but it is great for a little freshen up before going to dinner or shopping!
I LOVE this shampoo and conditioner. It’s smells amazing and gives my hair a little extra volume. And did I mention it smells amazing!
I love using this after I wash my hair. I put it in when my hair is wet, and my hair is extra soft when it drys. It’s expensive but a tiny bit goes a long way with this hair milk!
A lot of bloggers I follow use Moroccan oil in their hair and only say great things about it. I got a sample in my ipsy bag and fell in love. I like to put it in my hair when it’s dry, usually ater I straighten it. It helps my hair not get tangled when down all day!
What are your favorite hair products?!
These sweet friends of mine graduated college last weekend! I have loved doing college with them and know they are going to do some great things!
This stuff is to DIE for! It’s my absolute FAVORITE any day of the week! Seriously, it’s so good that it’s even hard to find in the stores sometimes!
I bought this online and cannot wait for it to show up on my doorstep! It is such a fun pattern and would be perfect for this crazy Texas weather.
I bought these the other day and love them just as much as the brown ones! I wear the brown ones often and am excited to have the black also! They are so comfy! They can dress any outfit up and are the perfect height!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I know I will, we’re celebrating my favorite one year olds birthday!
Floral print is SO in right now. It is the perfect spring/summer print for a fun outfit! Floral has been one of my go-to prints this spring!
Right now my favorite top is from non other than the oh-so-awesome Old Navy. Actually, the entire outfit is from Old Navy!
This floral top is the perfect transition into summer top here in Texas. You never know what the temperature will be here and having a light weight top makes for the perfect choice! It can be worn with jeans, shorts, or comfy linen pants. I chose to wear my white linen pants which are super comfy and also dressy! These pants are perfect for work, church, and even to lounge around in. The shoes were the perfect little clog to wear with this outfit. I feel the light brown color ties together the outfit perfectly!

UpDo’s can be hard to do on yourself. I can watch a YouTube video and put up a friends hair easily but cannot for the life of me do my own! I got to experiement with two of my friends hair, and I was pretty happy with how it turned out!
I first put the hair in a loose pony tail. Then I split the hair right above the ponytail holder and twisted the pony tail through. I kept twisting it through until there was no more hair and pinned it all so it stayed! It was super easy and looked fabulous!
The next one I found a video on YouTube to watch and went from there.
It turned out so cute and perfect for the night out!
For both of these hairdo’s I started with a ponytail/bun. It made it so simple and helped make it feel more secure. These are such fun hair styles and there are so many different tutorials to choose from.
I just started watching Hart of Dixie this week and WOW. It is awesome. I love how it’s in a small little town. I love how there a little bit of drama. I love all the actors. I just love it.
These shoes from target are so comfy and cute! Cheetah is a neutral color in my book so they will go with anything!! Yes, they are girls size but I’m wearing a size four and normallywear a size seven in women’s shoes.
These heels are also from target. Aren’t they precious? Snake skin and nude means they will be perfect for a night out with your significant other or even a night out with the girls. I’m planning a date night just so I can wear them! Keep your eye out for an outfit post with these being featured!!
I got to monogram some burp cloths and loved how they turned out. I know it’s a terrible picture but it’s the only one I took.. It’s so much fun to create unique pieces for others to enjoy! I mean who doesn’t like getting a gift with their name on it?!
I’m not one to have a green thumb. Anything I plant usually dies within its first month. It’s the idea of being green that counts right?!
I have really wanted to make a small garden lately and so off to Home Depot my dad and I went. We spent a hour looking at wood and deciding how many we should make.. This is what we came home with:
We bought ALOT of wood!
We spent about three hours cutting and nailing together the pieces.. I found the type of box I wanted to make HERE, and used it for inspiration.
This is what our final product came to be:
I planted tomato plants, onions, cilantro, and lots of bell peppers. So far, they have survived! And we even have few tomatos growing!!
